Forget the lyrics

Most people can’t remember the words to their favourite songs, a recent survey has shown.

Bizarrely the survey also showed that 85 per cent of Germans knew the words to Elton John’s tribute to Princess Diana, Candle In The Wind, whereas only a third of Brits could sing along accurately.

Michael Jackson lyrics are also often forgotten, with only 23 per cent of people able to remember the words to the chorus of Thriller.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the most hilarious mis-heard lyrics in the past..

Think you know the words to some of the most famous songs? Try our missing lyrics quiz.

The survey of 4,136 people was carried out by musicchoice.co.uk

You've missed out the major plonker of this generation - you can't even call what Morrisey writes as lyrics

Why do they call rap, music ???
Take away the backing track, which sounds the same on all rap records, and you just have a bloke talking fast naming lots of words that rhyme.
    Anybody could do that.
    That's not music !

I wanna be a dog instead of I wanna be adored by the stone roses. I always got that wrong.
