Robbie Williams is to be honoured with the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at next year's BRIT awards, but does the ex-Take That singer really deserve it?
It's an award normally reserved for music veterans, but next year 35-year-old will be the recipient of the prestigious award, joining the ranks of Sir Paul McCartney, Pet Shop Boys and David Bowie amongst many others.
His track record with the BRITs is certainly impressive. Robbie has won 15 trophies in total - more than any other artist. These include Best Song for Angels and three Best Solo Male gongs. He's been nominated 33 times, 22 as a solo artist.
What do you think? Does Robbie Williams deserve the BRIT for Outstanding Contribution To Music?
I live in Stevenage when he played knebworth he lit up the town and surrounding areas - brilliant
Finished!.....only British fans worship rubbish. Get your head together and start producing tunes. Find good song writers.good producers? Stop everyone! Listen up? this includes tv. Stop going on for this guy-he knows he's finished(only the true music die hards know a good tune/singer). Go back to the drawing board and Come Again. He's no icon. I'm sick n tired of hearing the same old crap about 'is he going to team up with Take That'- (their doing well).......If it helps-join them if they'll have him? Originality goes a long way-more money-stardom restored!!!!
I think he does deserve the award, yes he may have of had a "troubled" past, but you need to set that aside when you look at him musically, his lyrics are amazing and his music is brilliant. It takes alot to produce that much music and still be standing!
love him
Is it just me or does the picture of the chimp faced t**t you put up make you want to punch him in the face?
This idiot has done NOTHING apart from excite 12 year old girls and menopausal women.
