The migration skills of Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra and the rest of the Madagascar gang have never been too hot, but now, after a serious miscalculation, they wash up on the shores of Europe, a long way from their beloved New York. Turns out the French aren’t too keen on wild animals roaming the streets, so the gang hitch a lift with a travelling circus, but they must prove their circus skills are up to scratch to earn their keep. The recent winner of the Best Animation BAFTA, this new animation from Pixar is set in the Scottish Highlands where an impetuous flame-haired Princess Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald) refuses to tow the line and sets out to create her own rules. A half term treat based on the beloved Dr Seuss book with an important message told in a fun, imaginative way. 12-year-old Ted (voiced by Zac Efron) lives in a land where everything is plastic and artificial. Audrey (Taylor Swift), the girl Ted is desperate to impress, dreams of seeing a real-life Truffula Tree. The Once-ler (Ed Helms) tells Ted the story of the demise of the trees and how The Lorax (Danny DeVito), a grumpy little creature with an awesome moustache, tried to protect them.
