What's the funniest film ever made?

Have your say: What is the funniest film ever made?

Readers of the Radio Times have voted Monty Python's Life Of Brian as the funniest movie ever. The biblical spoof, which was joined in the top 10 by Monty Python And The Quest For The Holy Grail, also appeared in many of their critics' lists. The list is below:

1. Monty Python's Life Of Brian
2. Airplane!
3. The Full Monty
4. Some Like It Hot
5. Blazing Saddles
6. Four Weddings And A Funeral
7. Monty Python And The Quest For The Holy Grail
8. Shrek & Shrek 2
9. The Blues Brothers
10. Shaun Of The Dead

Hmm. We take umbrage with the high placing of The Full Monty (what is this, 1995?) and the lumping together of Shrek and its sequel (that's cheating, surely?), not to mention the fact that Shaun Of The Dead isn't even a proper comedy. Ho hum.

This is where you, our dear readers, can write those wrongs. What are your favourite funny films of all time? Does Spinal Tap turn your comedy amp up to 11? Does The Naked Gun make you feel funny? Or, against all sense and logic, did Disaster Movie rock your world? It takes all sorts, after all. When asked for his favourite comedy ever, Movies Producer Ben immediately answered "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" Now that is funny.

Let us know your favourites in the comments below, and here's a reminder of the genius of Spinal Tap, lest we forget.

The Life of Brian is by far the funniest film ever, the gags just keep coming, not like other films where the gags are not so frequent!
