First reactions to the Cannes screening of Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds have made their way online.
As we speak, hundreds of jammy movie journalists are rushing online to report their thoughts on Tarantino's incorrectly-spelt WWII masterpiece Inglourious Basterds. The initial reaction seems to be positive – phew – so we've gathered together some of the more interesting opinions below.
Empire Magazine: "A wonderfully-acted movie that subverts expectation at every turn. And it may represent the most confident, audacious writing and directing of QT's career."
Total Film: "This is Quentin’s best film since Jackie Brown. It might even be his best film since Pulp Fiction."
FirstShowing: "Inglourious Basterds was frickin' awesome! This is the WW2 movie we've all been waiting to see!"
BBC: "Surely Tarantino's best film since Pulp Fiction. Goody!! Brad Pitt is superb… It's flabby in parts."
OwFilm: "Just came out of Cannes screening… Inglorious Basterds - Absolute F****ING quality! It gets a bit silly for ten minutes at the end and the brit characters are a bit s**t”."
TVCalling: "Bottom line of Basterds: entertaining but nothing ground-breaking."
Damn you. Damn you all, with your free tickets and your French holidays and your yachts. Still, it looks like being classic Tarantino: colour us very much excited.

A movie about vengeance, that could only be made in Communist Hollywood. A anti-German sadistic farce that should be condemned. Besides the German Army was the best fighters in the world, and even Hitler wanted to make peace, and end the war in 1939, this was two years before the trains started tranporting people to the death camps, where by 1945 fifty million Christian's and Jews wee murdered.
