After a week's worth of gruelling mano a mano battles in our World Cup, we’ve finally crowned the Ultimate Action Hero. But who is it?
Well, we knew it wasn't going to be pretty. From the 16 fresh-faced fighters we lined up over a week ago, only one remains – though there are still several splatters of blood and loose teeth left behind. Ultimately, there could be only one winner, so take a bow…
James Bond.
Pitted against steroid mountain Rambo in the final, it looked like 007 had finally met his match, but Blighty's finest secret agent had a few tricks up his sleeve – not least the highest number of votes of any fighter throughout the whole competition.
In total, almost 10,000 of you voted Bond in as your Ultimate Action Hero; he took the spoils in a close-run contest with 54.5% of the public vote. When it came down to it, Rambo just couldn't handle Bond's savagery, street-smarts and sassy one-liners. Nice try, Sly – you certainly did better than office favourite and underdog Cameron Poe. Where's the Cage love, you guys?
Thanks to all who made this such a great success. Leave us your feedback below – what would you like our next Ultimate World Cup to focus on? Superheroes? Movie cars? Er… footballers? Tell us!
CHUCK NORRIS WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED HE WILL RISE AND TERMINATE ALL
I'm so glad Bond won. He is a true action hero, not to mention a mastermind!

Hello,
Can anyone help me get in touch with bloggers/ reviewers please? We are a film PR agency and would like to get in touch about our latest releases with the best contacts for reviews/ features.
Many thanks (olivia@emfoundation.com)
Yes Rambo should have won between the two finalists. But unfortunately this seems to have turned into a popularity contest, not who could kick who's butt. With this in mind,James Bond would have had his OO7 status wiped out in the very first round against Casey Ryback.
