Also fun – in a completely different way - are the many parodies of Katy Perry’s I Kissed A Girl, our favourite being the wonderful I Kissed A Pig. Especially the line “It felt so wrong, it felt so right, we rolled around in mud the whole night”.

The marketing people at Oasis’s US label hit on a great guerilla marketing idea for the band’s new album Dig Out Your Soul. To get the word out they leaked four tracks – but instead of using the internet they taught the songs to buskers and unleashed them on the streets of New York.
