Is it really fair for performers to charge upwards of £50 for a concert ticket and then not even sing live?
We don't think so. Why should the punter have to pay those kinds of prices to be played songs from a CD they already paid a tenner for? There's something unfair about that.
We've named and shamed the 10 worst offenders in an effort to stop this unfair practice. Britney Spears features, along with many other high-profile acts.
We're tired of being duped. Plenty of bands and singers manage to put on a fantastic stage show - part of which is singing live. Sure their voices might not be perfect 100% of the time, but they are real and it's what we've paid to see.
Do you think lip synching should be banned? Let us know.
Yes, why would you go to a live show for a cd recording?
I'm a musician, I love playing live. I don't get paid for it, it's something I do for my own pleasure. These people are paid small fortunes to sing LIVE so they should sing LIVE and if nothing else it keeps the critics at bay. You might give a bad performance once in a while, but that goes with the territory of the career you're lucky to have!
Their job is to sing and they get paid an awful lot of money too, so come on Cheryl ( AND THE REST OF THEM) do what your being paid for and SING.
don't think my boss would be too pleased if I decided one day to do a mime act
This is a stupid question, why pay money to watch someone lip sync, when you can purchase the CD far cheaper that going to a live concert.......some people are dumb and should just give their money away if the pay to watch someone mime!
definetly should. otherwise whats the point of them being a singer if there not going to do it properly and mess about. when u go to a live concert you pay a fortune to go and watch them entertain live. so its a let down and a waste of money when they lip sync. and they look stupid as well.
