Robbie’s stage fright

Robbie Williams has revealed how his big comeback on the X Factor nearly got off to a disastrous start after the stage door jammed.

The former Take That star performed his new single Bodies on the TV talent show on Sunday - his first performance after a three year hiatus.

On his official blog Robbie wrote: "I wasn't as nervous as I thought I was going to be... until the friggin sliding door wouldn't open.

"I don't know if you saw but I had to wedge it open myself. That wasn't part of the show that was pure brute strength.

"So there's a bad start. I had a whole pose planned and what not. But that went out of the window."

Fans were concerned for the health of Robbie as his pupils looked dilated and he appeared to be sweating profusely. But a spokesperson brushed it off saying: “He was excited to be on the show and this came across in his performance.”

Did you see Robbie’s performance? Was it any good? Are you looking forward to his new album? Let us know
